Sunday’s top (unrelated) headlines…

February 3, 2014

I rarely buy the local newspaper. I try to keep up with the local news via Google Alerts. But an enjoyable way to keep up with the day’s news is reading headlines that are posted on light posts along the roadways.

The following two headlines were out yesterday and are completely unrelated. But, with only headlines to go by, Rachael did wonder aloud about a connection…

“King’s Plane ‘Outdated'”

“Queen Mother Warns Against Greed”

(The link to the second article confirms they aren’t related. It covers sermons from the royal family this weekend. According to the article, the warning against greed seems directed more toward preachers stealing members from other congregations. It’s a church-growth strategy everywhere!)
