So it begins

December 23, 2008

I set up this blog just before Thanksgiving. Now it’s almost Christmas and I’m just now posting a blog. Of course, I’ve been seriously thinking about doing this for months. I stayed up late one night to get everything set-up perfectly. The next morning, I opened my WIRED magazine and the first article starts with this:

Thinking about launching your own blog? Here’s some friendly advice. Don’t. And if you’ve already got one, pull the plug.

That was reassuring. Read the rest here where Paul Boutin argues that blogging is so 2004. Of course, 2004 was when Robyn Wertheim told me one day that people who were working in inner-city-type ministries needed to blog and help others understand how to make a difference in our city.

I said I didn’t have time. I still don’t. But I agree with her and am finally embarking on my journey to share and learn together through blogging.

Come, journey with me.
