Reigniting my African Education

January 6, 2014

It’s been over 15 months since I posted anything to this blog. Looking back over the archive date links, it appears that my blogging comes and goes over time.

I restarted blogging in 2012 after beginning my ful-time work in Swaziland at African Christian College because there were so many thoughts, ideas, and things I was reading that I needed a place to capture some of those things. And, I wanted a way to interact with ACC trustees and supporters as well as leaders, friends, colleagues, and others working in education or Africa to help me grow, learn, digest, and think strategically about a variety of issues.

I still need it.

My African education hasn’t stopped. It continues daily. Over the past few weeks, my desire for posting on the blog has been reignited again. I need a place for this conversation. And I want you to join me.

This post is a warning

You haven’t seen me post in a long time. So if I’m in your reader, I’ll be appearing. If you subscribed to email updates, you’ll be seeing me again in your inbox.

At least for a little while.

If you do enjoy getting them again. Great! I hope my thinking will inspire your thinking. I’ll be honored to hear your thoughts, ideas, observations, challenges, and resources when you join the conversation. When we share together, we can make a bigger impact on the world.

I look forward to sharing together again.

(By the way, if you’re over whatever got you signed up on this list to begin with, don’t hesitate to unsubscribe. It’s okay. Really.)

I’ve got a list of articles, links, and thoughts about Africa, education, teaching, and student learning that are needing to be shared. What topics, ideas, or thoughts do you want us to explore together?

I would love to learn more about the attitudes towards learning from Africans as a whole and what appears to have to happen for your students to have a desire to extend their education. I have millions of questions for you, I just miss my little brother and admire what he is doing so MUCH!
